Tarpon Fly Fishing

Tarpon Time on the Florida PanhandleIn May we depart for the Florida panhandle for Tarpon fly fishing.  We fish for 3 months, hoping to intercept these monsters as they migrate up the Gulf Coast.  The Tarpon fishing in May, June and July can be outstanding.  There is simply no feeling like sight-casting to a 100 pound monster!

For those who have never fished for these elusive giants, it is an experience every fly angler needs to have.  We will pole you along some of the best water in Florida and give you the best shots you will get anywhere.  We have been fishing this area for more than a decade.  We know how to put you on the fish.

Like fly fishing in general, Tarpon fishing can be tough, and it can be outstanding.  We have many multiple fish days, including a few 8 fish days.  We routinely see Tarpon in the 100 pound class and sight cast to them in shallow, gin clear water.

Once we return to New Orleans in August, we offer limited Tarpon Trips in Louisiana.  As the fish continue their migration, we get the chance to catch them closer to home.  Book a multi-day trip and catch Tarpon & Redfish in one trip!  Book Now!
