The Southern Way aka “The Mother Ship” is a 72-foot craft anchored in the famed Biloxi Marsh southeast of New Orleans. The Mother Ship is staged on location to provide the most exclusive Redfish and Tarpon fishing experience available in North America. The boat accommodates up to eight anglers, plus guides and staff. Anglers are transported from New Orleans, or directly from Louis Armstrong New Orleans Airport, to Breton Sound Marina by limo, where they are picked up and taken to the mothership by skiff.
Booking The Mother Ship in Biloxi Marsh puts anglers right in the middle of prime redfish territory, eliminating the long daily drives from New Orleans and sharply reducing the time spent running to and from the fishing area each day. Also, the quality of the lodging and food aboard The Mother Ship eclipses anything currently available outside of New Orleans. The mothership also provides a lodge-like atmosphere where, for the first time, intact or mixed groups of redfish anglers can socialize in the evening.
Prices vary widely with the number of people in a group. The price for a single angler is $2500, for two anglers coming together is $1,250 per person/per day. All trips have a minimum of three days, both anglers fishing in one boat. However, pricing drops sharply to $800 per day per angler for groups of four anglers fishing in two boats. Prices given include three meals a day, lodging, guiding, and transfers from the marina to the mothership and back. Alcohol, limo service to and from New Orleans and tips are extra. Mother Ship guides are the best of the best among Louisiana redfish guides.
